NUR 310: Nutrition in Health & Disease
Welcome to Nutrition in Health & Disease course. This will be a fast paced term and requires committment and self-discipline to be successful. Please bring your textbook to class.
Course Catalog Description: Food is the basis of human life so what, how and when a person ingests food or other substances affects human life and potentially brings on disease or helps cure it. Culturally and geographically different types of foods are available and ingested by people. A nurse needs to have an understanding of how food and special diets fit with the lifestyle, culture, and therapeutic plan of care for each person under his/her care.
This website is set up for you as a resource for you while enrolled in this course. Please check regularly because we will be adding and updating classroom materials as needed. You do not need to request access to this PBWorks site to view and download materials for your use.
